The Boy She Met Online plot
"Be careful who you date online."
Unbeknownst to her single mother Tori, Cami falls in love with Jake Myers, a boy she met on a social networking site. Cami thinks Jake is a 23-year-old college student, but in reality he is a prisoner serving a sentence for assaulting his ex-girlfriend. Jake has promised himself that he will improve his life after his release and scours the internet for the perfect girl who can help him with that. By the time he tells Cami the truth, she is already completely in love with Jake and believes she can help him. Tori is not happy with the relationship and she and her niece try to discourage the relationship but only push Cami deeper into Jake's arms.
