Cole plot
Cole Chambers, 22, finds himself trapped in his rigid life pattern, unable to fulfill his dream of writing. He protects his older sister's 6-year-old son from his abusive stepfather, runs the gas station and takes care of his mother who suffers from a brain injury. When given the opportunity, he seizes the opportunity to escape from his broken family. However, he feels guilty and returns home to be followed by a girl from school. Her visit sets off a series of tragic events that will change the lives of everyone in the small town forever.
