Das Beil von Wandsbek plot

On July 31, 1932, a real battle between Nazis and Communists took place. The day became known as the 'Bloody Sunday of Altona'. The film is about a small tradesman, the butcher Teetjen (Roland Schäfer), who, charmed by the ideas of National Socialism, adheres to the ideals of Hitler. When he realizes his mistake, it is already too late. His customers stay away and he gets ruined.
