This documentary portrays an unforgettable time in Jamaican history, when music articulated the island's struggles and immortalized its heroes. Lee Perry and The Upsetters are filmed at the legendary Black Ark studio. Also featured are Bob Marley and The Wailers, as well as a historic Inner Circle concert in the violent streets of Kingston. Bob Marley's teacher Joe Higgs plays and tells, and Haile Selassie's visit to Jamaica is also discussed.
