L'Enfant de Paris plot

A wealthy young girl loses her father who dies in a war and her mother who dies of grief. She is sent to an exclusive boarding school. After a few incidents at school, she flees and runs straight into the arms of a criminal. The criminal learns that the father is not dead and is welcomed as a hero in Paris, he sees his chance to take advantage of this. Meanwhile, the girl has met a boy who understands her grief and shows compassion. He will do anything to reunite her with her father.
