Lonely Hearts plot

Alma Bates is thirty years old. She lives at home and takes care of her sick grandmother. Between her job and caring for the old woman, there is little time left for a social life, let alone a love life. She places a personal ad in the local newspaper. That's how she meets Frank, a handsome real estate agent, whom Alma soon falls in love with. Frank convinces Alma to lend him a large sum of money for a real estate investment. Alma lends Frank the money, but after that he seems to have disappeared from the face of the earth...
