The Madrid Connection plot

On March 11, 2004, Spain was the victim of a number of terrorist attacks on trains in Madrid. In the autumn of 2007, 29 suspects were on trial. Spain is one of the few countries in the world that allows court cases to be filmed and this trial is the first filmed case against possible Al Qaeda terrorists. The Madrid Connection portrays the two leaders of the terrorist unit responsible for the Madrid bombings. What drives two completely different men to Al Qaeda's ideas?
