Juliette is twelve years old, shy and not feeling well in her skin. She adores her French teacher, Mrs. Solenska. The pretty forty-year-old teacher provokes and loves to charm her students: her class is like a theater and her students are her best audience. Juliette thinks she is one of her favorite students and is her favourite. She secretly hopes for more. But one day she sees Mrs. Solenska leaving the classroom with Antoine, a handsome young man who is also one of her students. She imagines that the two are in a romantic relationship.
