Women in War plot
"The Emotional Big Parade of Today!"
It is 1940. Colonel Starr, the father of the free-raised American Pamela Starr, dies in a tragic accident. To cope with this loss and to get her licentious life back on track, Pamela volunteers to be a nurse at the Red Cross. She leaves for England, which is already at war with Germany. In London, Pamela meets the nurse Gail Halliday. Pamela falls in love with the irresistible British pilot, as well as Gail's friend, Lieutenant Larry Hall. Pamela and Gail are housed with Matron O'Neil. Documents Pamala finds in Matron O'Neil's house after the Nazi bombing show that Matron O'Neil must be her long-missing mother.
