Suspicion plot

Against the wishes of her parents, naive Lina McLaidlaw marries the beautiful Johnnie Aysgarth. After their honeymoon, Johnnie rents a luxurious villa, but he soon confesses that he is deeply in debt. He tries to get money through his friend Beaky Thwaite, but fails. However, when Beaky suddenly dies, Lina begins to suspect that her husband has something to do with this...
