"She was the most desirable of women. And the deadliest."

When the thoroughbred Lou Cherney is shot in the leg, his whole world collapses. Bitter and disappointed, he withdraws with his problems and the whiskey bottle. But then a vicious sex murder is committed and Lou springs back into action. When his best friend is also murdered a short time later, everything indicates that the ex-cop is on to something big and dangerous. His investigation leads him into the lion's den, a shadow world where black magic and death reign supreme. The hour of truth has struck.
