Testimone Oculare plot

Roberta is driving along a dark road at night when she suddenly has to brake for a young woman who is walking in front of her car. At first she thinks she has hit her, because the woman is lying lifeless on the road, but closer examination reveals that she died of a bullet wound. Roberta notices a figure with a revolver in the bushes along the side and runs away. She arrives at an inn and asks for help. Soon the police are on the scene and Roberta tells what she has been through. But the police refuse to believe her because they find no body and there are no traces of blood along the road. Did Roberta imagine everything? A few days later, when she is pushed by a stranger at an intersection in front of an oncoming car and narrowly escapes death, she realizes that her life is in danger. But the police still refuse to believe her.
