"The modern twist on the freak show": Internet videos in which ordinary people make an immortal ridicule, to the delight of the entire online community. Like that of the Winnebago Man, also known as 'the angriest man in the world'. Ever since the recordings in 1989, VHS tapes with outtakes from a camper commercial have been passed from hand to hand in the American film underground. In 2005 the video went online, and with it went mainstream: it was one of the first biggest hits on the then very young YouTube. The direct object is Jack Rebney, who in the series of failed shots in hilarious swearing cannonades, gets angry at the whole world, from the recording assistant to the flies that buzz around his head, but especially at himself. Filmmaker Ben Steinbauer was a fan from the very beginning, and goes in search of Rebney in Winnebago Man.
