The Sleeping Cardinal plot
The Bank of England is broken into and the guard is killed. Since all the money is still in the safe, Scotland Yard assumes the burglars were interrupted in their crime by the guard and then fled with no loot. However, they call in Sherlock Holmes just to be sure, but he is not completely convinced of that. Quite the contrary...
