Haus ohne Dach plot
Liya, Jan and Alan were born in the Kurdish part of Iraq and raised in Germany. The three children want to fulfill their mother's wish: she wants to be buried in her village, next to her husband who was killed in the war during the Saddam Hussein regime. On their nerve-wracking Kurdish quest, they are confronted not only with their large family, which does not accept their mother's wishes, but also with their personal affairs. In recent years they have lived at a distance from each other, everyone has their own life. When they have conversations, they are usually about blame. Along with their quest, it becomes clear that a terrible conflict in their homeland will lead to disaster.
