Ningen no Yakusoku plot
An old woman is found dead in the morning. Her doctor suspects she did not die of natural causes and when the police open an investigation, her senile husband claims to have killed her. The film jumps in time. The couple moves into the home of one of their children because the woman suffers from Alzheimer's disease and her daughter-in-law doesn't want her to languish in a nursing home. The old woman seems to have a death wish that all members of the family must deal with.
