The Take plot

Freddie Jackson is released from prison in 1984 after serving 4 years for a robbery. His loyal wife Maggie is waiting for him outside, under the illusion that he now wants to go straight. But Freddie wants nothing more than to become the king of the underworld again in London's East End. His cousin Jimmy follows in his footsteps and quickly climbs the ladder of the crime organization. Set against the background of the socio-political changes from Thatcherism to New Labor, the story spans 10 years of a group of criminals.
