Friends and Lovers plot
British Army Captain Geoffrey "Geoff" Roberts has a love affair with the irresistible Alva, wife of the vicious Victor Sangrito. Sangrito is well aware of this affair. He uses his beautiful wife to lure men and then blackmail them. These men are being blackmailed to save their careers. When Geoff also falls into Sangrito's trap, he pays the blackmail and then leaves for India, hoping to forget Alva, whom he still loves. After some time in India, Geoff meets his childhood friend Lieutenant Ned "Neddie" Nichols. Neddie is also in love with a woman in England. It turns out to be Alva. The two friends nearly come to blows over Alva, until they finally realize that she has cheated on them both. When Geoff and Neddie return to England, however, both can't resist a visit to Alva.
