Buddha's Lost Children Revisited plot
Hidden in the hills, in the Golden Triangle of Thailand is the “Golden Horse Temple”. The Buddhist monk Khru Bah and the young novices are fighting drug abuse in the surrounding mountain villages, at the risk of their own lives. Director Mark Verkerk returned to the Golden Horse Temple after the first film Buddha's Lost Children to see how Khru Bah and the boys have fared in recent years. Together with sister Khun Mae Ead, who tells her personal story in this film, and the young novices, Khru Bah continues to work with his great mind and limited resources on socio-cultural issues within the Thai community such as drug abuse, prostitution and education. We also meet the daughter of Kru Bah, who teaches the poorest of the poor with angelic patience and who gives up a life in the civilized world to work in the temple. Khru Bah is still meeting resistance and has also survived a poisoning this year. How long is this brave monk going to endure these kinds of attempts on his life?
