Houston: The Legend of Texas plot
Sam Houston is the governor of the state of Tennessee. His governorship ends on a bleak when he resists secession from the Union and Texas joins the Confederacy. He returns to his hometown near the Cherokee Indians, where he always felt happy. Houston falls in love with a half-breed Cherokee and regains his pride when he manages to forge peace between several tribes at war with each other. However, the United States government decides to annex Cherokee lands, much to Houston's anger. Driven by despair, he heads to the Mexican side of Texas to fight with his old friend Jim Bowie for the liberation of what would once become the state of Texas.
