The otherworldly Tan Tung arrives in Hong Kong. His grandfather will take care of him and show him around the big city. Not in itself something that should cause problems. But Tan Tung has been training kung fu for years and doesn't realize that compared to the village he comes from, things are very different here. After a friendly fight with Chu Ho, he asks if he wants to save a girl for him. The girl turns out to be an escaped prostitute from Chu Ho. Tan Tung refuses to cooperate and takes the girl to safety. The gangsters do not like this and they devise a ruse so that he will end up in prison. He flees and goes with the prostitute's brother to San Francisco. However, there he also gets into trouble and joins a gang of mobsters. This does not suit his character at all and will eventually have extreme consequences.
