Quite a nice miniseries that just aired in its entirety from 8 p.m. to midnight. I didn't think I would want to do it because of the length in one go, but with the help of friendly family members and with a walk, snack or drink in every break (about 15 pieces?) it was doable.

Unfortunately, some errors and improbabilities, but I found it entertaining to babbling on.

Impact is a miniseries that has little to offer and mainly lives on terrible special effects that even The Asylum would be ashamed of.

Still, the miniseries is infectious and there is a lot of momentum to cover up the lack of a decent plot. Especially the B-cast led by Natasha Henstridge and David James Elliot seem to enjoy it.
However, it is strange that for some whole days pass and so easily fly around the world, while the grandfather with his 2 grandchildren survive a night in a gas station. In terms of times and locations, nothing is right anyway, since that German/Frenchman suddenly shows up in America (can there be flown?).

The ideas are also fun (what effect does a rammed-down moon have on the earth), only the lack of a budget makes the fun ideas often look ridiculously animated (the boat, the train, etc.). The floating humans and the moon itself were of a slightly higher level in SE.

The second part of the miniseries is much slower. Suddenly nothing seems to happen on Earth, where the first part was full of action and the Earth seemed to be a continuous target of circumstances. The sequel is unfortunately also a poor copy of Armageddon, which is already not a topper.
It's a shame that the second part loses so much joy, because besides that infectious effect, Impact doesn't have much to offer.

There is a lot of potential in Impact, but it lacks a good budget and the inspiration also seems complete after an hour and a half to be able to score a sufficient.

2.0*

a miniseries/movie with a budget of 14 million. To put down stories like this in a blockbuster, you soon have to call it tenfold, so it's clever of the makers that they were able to put it down worth mentioning. Unfortunately the TV guide was wrong with us. It said the year 2000 when the movie was released and at first I thought 'year 2000 with natasha henstridge and that synopsis, that must have been quite a big blockbuster', but since I couldn't really remember that movie and I I looked up and saw that the 2008 film is stamping and Henstridge was no longer the medium-sized name it once was. Now, the effects of the film are quite decent to some even strong which I was really surprised by. The story was cliché, but the constant changes of the moon kept it entertaining and never boring. The acting was sad and then you are lucky that Henstridge slides through the picture because all in all she is still a nice MILF.

It's not a special film, but actually the film can remain entertaining for its length and never be boring somewhere, which is pretty good with this budget and the deplorable acting performances, but for me personally Henstridge makes up for a lot and obscures many things.
