Tramontana plot
In the northern Spanish village of Cadaqués, the Tramontana 'the wind blows over the mountains' incessantly during the winter months. A mysterious wind that can literally drive people to madness and is seen by many residents as an evil woman, but without whom life has no meaning. During the Franco dictatorship, it is also this Tramontana who rages and becomes a character in the scandalous love between the old Pepet Tremolls and the eighteen-year-old Rosa Campos de Amor. The secret love between Tremolls and Campos de Amor comes to an abrupt end with a mysterious suicide on Christmas Eve. Was Pepet Tremolls brought to his deed by the maddening wind, by the capricious nature of Rosa Campos de Amor or was he murdered by a jealous lover? The villagers can only guess what happened, but the fact is that Rosa Campos de Amor is a woman who takes love seriously.
