Yasukuni plot

Yasakuni ('peace-loving land') is a Shinto shrine that commemorates 2.5 million Japanese dead from the many wars from the Meji period (1869). It is also a meeting place for nostalgic nationalists who celebrate the 'heroism' of the military. There are also fourteen convicted war criminals and Prime Ministers of Japan regularly visit the shrine, much to the dismay of the countries that suffered from the brutal occupation during the war.
