The first Asylum film I've seen. It was bound to happen, because as a fan of laughably bad films, it's hard to ignore such a cult studio. The Terminators is a laughably bad film with a stunning ending, exactly as I expected.

What I didn't expect was that the acting was still quite decent and the non-action scenes looked quite good. The film's badness is mainly due to the editing and direction, which cause massive continuity errors and the complete illogicality of the whole thing. Why does every household have an identical cyborg (all wearing the same clothes)? Why do the cyborgs randomly attack people? Where is the army to help everyone? Why doesn't one of the heroes use his one-shot-one-kill supermegahyperultraweapon more often? Why does the cyborg who thought he was human suddenly behave like a standard cyborg when he realizes he's not human? Why do all the cyborgs, who could kill someone with a touch of their left pinky, shut down to activate a super cyborg who, of course, can do much less against multiple people on his own?

I could go on like this for another day. It all makes no sense. My personal favorite is the ending, which made me laugh out loud: all the heroes have to do to stop the entire invasion is flip a switch and unplug a plug . It's a joke in a Naked Gun movie, but here it's meant seriously. That alone makes this movie worth watching.

1*
