Milh Hadha al-Bahr plot
Soraya, daughter of Palestinian refugees and born and raised in Brooklyn, New York in a working-class community, discovers that her grandfather's savings were blocked in a bank account in Jaffa when he was exiled in 1948. Outspoken, stubborn and determined to reclaim some of her is fulfilling her lifelong dream of returning to Palestine. Slowly she is torn by the reality around her and is forced to face her anger. She meets Emad, a young Palestinian who wants to leave Palestine forever. They are tired of the limitations that dictate their lives. They know that in order to be free, they will have to take things into their own hands, even if it is illegal.
