Turistas plot

On the way to their holiday destination, it becomes clear to Carla, in her thirties, that her marriage to Joel is causing more grief than is good for both of them. When she lets the fight calm down outside the car, Joel drives off. Rebellious and sad, Carla continues on her way. At the Siete Tazas nature park she meets Norwegian backpacker Ulrik, who invites her to camp in the beautiful Chilean nature reserve with the seven waterfalls. Hopefully the calm, adamant nature will bring peace to her mind. But the park turns out to offer more than trees, water and beetles: there are also the ruthless nieces Susana and Susana and the park manager Orlando, a former top 40 star. In the mini-society in the forest people fight, make love, partie and play badminton and Carla finds that the natural laws of Siete Tazas are not even that different from urban life in Santiago.
