The new stepmother of a brother and sister poisoned her husband as soon as she became sure of his belongings. Her daughter humiliates brother and sister, and even locks them up. The children manage to escape, but the furious stepmother turns the boy into a deer. The children stay together until one day the signal is given for the start of the hunting season.
