"A WOMAN IS A FOOL WHO RUNS AWAY FROM LOVE"

Towards the end of World War I, Sylvia Suffolk and Tony Clyde marry just before Tony leaves for the front. Sylvia, just pregnant, is told that her husband has been killed, but a body has never been found. She picks up her life again and falls in love with René. Together with him she goes on holiday to Switzerland, where she meets her still living husband Tony.
