Chandu on the Magic Island plot
On the mysterious island of Lemuria, the Ubastisekte attempts to sacrifice the Egyptian princess Nadji so that the Goddess Ossana, who resides in Nadji's body, can be retrieved through black magic. Nadji resides in far east Suva, protected by the powers of Frank Chandler, an American who also grew up on Eastern myths. He is also known by the name Chandu. When he goes on a journey, Ubasti's voice can magically bring her to Lemuria. Chandu gives chase, along with his sister Dorothy, his cousin Betty, and cousin Bob. After arriving on the island, Chandu finds out that his family is also being held for sacrifice. Now he is trapped in a maze of caves, beneath the Temple of Evil, where his powers also prove to be useless.
