Specter of the Rose plot
"You are my love... my life... my doom!"
It is likely that the ballet dancer Andre Sanine killed his first wife. In any case, the police think so and he is not alone. The impresario Max Polikoff and the frustrated poet Lionel Gans also have their doubts. Sanine is a charming, but a bit quirky man. The young and naive ballerina Haidi becomes Sanine's second wife. When the two go on tour with the 'Specter on the Rose' ballet led by Madame La Sylph, Sanine seems to lose control of herself. It doesn't take long before Haidi is found dead. She appears to have died of stab wounds.
