The Family Holiday plot

Just before Christmas, the two orphans, Tim and Amanda, are in danger of being separated from each other. They therefore decide to run away from their foster parents and end up on the street, just like the dog that is always nearby. Coincidentally, Donald 'Doc' Holiday is looking for a family just then. In order to inherit his deceased uncle's fortune and thereby pay off his debts, he must give up his life as a con man and become a real family man. Doc pays Tim and Amanda to pose as his kids. He hires a nanny as his wife and together they form the ideal family, complete with a dog. Will the trick work?
