Liverpool plot
The freighter Farrel works on prepares to depart for the far end of Argentina. Still, he asks the captain if he can take a few days off to visit his mother, whom he hasn't seen for a long time. You can, but he is warned that the boat will not wait for him if he is late. After nocturnal wanderings between alcohol and prostitution, Farrel heads for his native village. On foot or hitchhiking on a truck, he crosses snowy landscapes where it seems as if time has stood still.
