El Olvido plot

Documentary about the oblivion (el olvido) of Peru. The main characters are the old waiters and bartenders from Lima who have managed to survive for years in a corrupt society in which governments and political leaders succeed each other in rapid succession. They serve those in power, but not without losing their self-esteem. The maker goes in search of the strength, pride, humor and love that lie behind their servitude. They tell the story of Lima, a city that seems to have forgotten its own history.
