When Red Jones is fired for the umpteenth time, his fiancée Ann Elliot gives him one last chance. He has to take a job as a door-to-door salesman and if he doesn't keep it, it's over between them. Red tries his best, but things go horribly wrong when he becomes involved in a murder case.
