Pappa ante Portas plot
Heinrich Lohse is department head at the company Deutsche Röhren AG. He always pays close attention to the pennies and because the company is short of typewriter paper, he orders a huge quantity to get the most discount. Unfortunately, such an enormous quantity is being delivered that the company will have enough stock for the next 40 years. Lohse is therefore judged on his error of judgment and sent to early retirement. That is no fun for his wife Renate, because at home he has the same mentality as at the office...
