Jesus Christus Erlöser plot

On November 20, 1971, the then star actor Klaus Kinski was allowed to stage 'the history of mankind': the story of Jesus Christ. A stage narration of the famous story, but the evening in Berlin ended in a historical fiasco. At this time, the public no longer accepted a one-sided Bible story and wanted to discuss it. A tumultuous battle, including name-calling, between Kinski and the audience ensued. The images give an impression of an era, a special actor and the empathy for his role.
