Masterson of Kansas plot
Dodge City Sheriff Bat Masterson sets out to find evidence that a group of ranchers did indeed murder Merrick. Merick has negotiated with the Kiowas about the allocation of a piece of grassland, which the livestock farmers have in mind for themselves. Knowing that the Kiowas want to go to war again, Brat begins a search for Clay Bennett, who witnessed the murder. Marshal Wyatt Earp and Doc Holliday help Brat, though both have their own reasons for the search. Brat and Doc Holliday have a long feud, but Merrick's daughter Amy persuades Doc to join the search after all.
