Since his wife left him, Francis has been a broken man. He works as a bartender in a nightclub and relieves his pain with alcohol. His ten-year-old son manages on his own, but he is angry with his father for not being able to pull himself together. Loving his child, Francis decides to return to his old job as a magician.
