Delta plot

A taciturn young man returns to the remote wilderness of the Delta, a maze of waterways, small islands and abundant vegetation, where the villagers live cut off from the rest of the world. The man, who left the Delta as a child, meets a sister he never knew. She is a frail, shy woman, who resolutely accompanies him to the rickety hut where he lives. Together they build a stilt house in the middle of the river, far away from everyone. One day they invite the locals for dinner, but the rough villagers don't accept their "unnatural" relationship...
