"The most extraordinary battle ever fought by the bravest army that ever had to be home for dinner."
At the turn of the 19th century and the 20th century, rival street gangs from Budapest fight over 'the grass', an empty lot in the middle of the city. The youngsters defend the ground against the 'Redjas', a group who want to conquer the plot of land from them. They constantly use the terminologies of nationalism in use in those years in Hungary and the rest of Europe, even calling themselves the National Army. But after their leader is dead, they are chased away by developers who want to build apartments on the empty lot.
