"The last scream you hear... is your own!"
During the last night of a carnival, several local city residents celebrate. A young couple decides to spend the rest of the night in a secluded house on the banks of a river, where two horrific murders were committed the day before. But apparently someone is hiding there, a person haunted by a dark past.

Moderate.
Not good at all, but entertaining. Messy plot, but the atmosphere and charming soundtrack made it quite enjoyable to watch. For a film of this caliber, the acting is also not bad. 5/10*

I went into this movie with little to no expectations, but was pleasantly surprised by the quality of this slasher. The movie follows the traditional slasher recipe: a bunch of adolescents commit "sins" like drinking, smoking weed and having sex before marriage.
Unfortunately the film has a bit of a slow build up. After the promising opening scene nothing happens for a long time until the last half hour/20 minutes.
The acting was of a fairly average slasher level and the murders are not very special. However, I think the atmosphere of the film is fantastic! The carnival with that cheesy music constantly in the background, the half-foggy cemetery and the strong feeling of the isolation of youth ensures that the film remains pleasant to watch. In addition, the soundtrack is simply very strong.
Way, in my opinion, is a must for fans of 80's slashers.

Nice plot description, but carnival? The local sheriff does remind you of Arie Ribbens, but this seems to be a translation of carnival or funfair. A little less than half an hour into the film, we also pay a nice visit to the funfair with a merry-go-round and a bouncy castle. Second-rate slasher, only suitable for fans who have already seen all the real classics. But they can still have some fun with it. The film drags you through it a bit and then goes full out in the last ten minutes.
