Mijn Bovenburen plot

Mr Schoevaart has been a member of Ajax for more than 80 years and has taught Sjaak Swart to play football. He is also the upstairs neighbor of filmmaker Colette Teurlings who became intrigued by this endearing and positive old gentleman. She soon finds out that Mrs. Schoevaart is not a big fan of Ajax and that his love for the club has taken a lot from her. In the 63-year marriage of the couple, Ajax always comes first and she has rarely complained about that. She let her life slide by in dogged silence at the service of her husband, children and Ajax.
