Dans la Vie plot

Esther, an old Jewish woman, needs permanent help. But because of her bad mood, she abuses her illness counselors, so that no nurse wants to stay long. Elie, Esther's son, doesn't know what to do anymore. Sélima, the day nurse, proposes the services of her mother, Halima, a very religious Muslim woman. Against all expectations, a close bond develops between the two women. Halima feels valued by Esther and full of energy she gives Esther meaning in life again.
