After the death of her stepmother, the young woman Barbie König leaves everything behind in America to see her grandmother in the Netherlands. But is the Indonesian family in the Netherlands waiting for this unexpected family visit from America? Strangely enough not too long indeed, although the whole thing unfortunately didn't do enough for me. Think this is particularly interesting for people with an Indonesian background. I had the feeling that there was much more in it than I got out of it.

Grandma is on her deathbed, with all the family around her. We then have no less than two and a half hours to get to know that family. And is that interesting? Well no, not really. Then there is another grandchild from America who is looking for her grandmother. And I often had to think of the series "In search of Yolanda" by Wim T. Schippers. But there is still a lot to laugh about in this series. Not here. Fortunately, that Marion Bloem apparently had a boyfriend who owns a nice collection of old-timers. At least there was something to enjoy in the movie.
