Leander plays the 19th-century London singer Gloria Vane, who is wooed by the reckless officer Albert Finsbury (Birgel). Finsbury leaves for Australia after a fraudulent act. Gloria soon follows - as a prisoner, for she has taken his guilt upon herself.
