The Hatchet Man plot
"He kills! She thrills!"
Wong Low Get is a member of a gang during the Chinese Gang War in Chinatown, San Francisco. He is ordered to kill his childhood friend Sun Yat Ming, who accepts his fate, but asks Wong as a last wish to take care of his daughter and be with her when she grows up. That happens when Wong has become a powerful crime figure. He discovers that the girl is secretly having an affair with another man, whereupon Wong has him exiled abroad, not realizing that she is also going along.
