Ville à Vendre plot

Orphée, formerly the director of a computer company, has become a vagabond and arrives by truck in Moussin, where a village festival is taking place. He is surprised by the atmosphere in the town and decides to stay there for a few days. He learns that eight out of ten people are unemployed but that the population receives important benefits from a mysterious person.
