J.K. Rowling: A Year in the Life plot
The documentary is a portrait of JK Rowling, creator of Harry Potter. Rowling talks about the special bond with her mother, who died at a young age from the consequences of multiple sclerosis. She also talks about the difficult relationship with her father, of whom she has always been afraid and with whom she no longer has contact. Through these experiences, Harry Potter was created as an orphan. She has also incorporated her long-term depression as a theme in her books. This documentary also follows Jo Rowling as she puts the finishing touches to the Potter series. The seventh and final manuscript, 'Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows', will be under tight security and the cameras will be there when the book is eventually launched in several countries.
