"There Are Moments That Test Us And Choices That Define Us"
John Bartle is a soldier who is sent to Iraq. He tries to fulfill two tasks. One is serving his country and the other is keeping a promise: He has sworn to a fellow soldier's mother to protect her son Murphy. It soon becomes difficult to maintain his humanity and the urge to survive during the war grows by the day. When he returns to Virginia, he struggles with his memories of the war.
